Dragging it back up

I found what I thought was an interesting analysis of the Clinton/Wallace spat that aired on Fox. Here it is. Thoughts? Comments?

Well, for as much as I don't like Clinton, I think that it is understandable that he wouldn't be entirely accurate on events that happened in a eight year period, that ended six years ago.

Personally, I don't think he did enough during his Presidency to protect the nation's security. However, that time is long over, and I think we need to move on from it. People make wrong choices, they can't always be right, that's the nature of humanity. I think it is rather silly for the media to make such a big deal about it.

Like the situation in Iraq, whether you agree or not about, it happened, now we need to focus ont he consequences. What Clinton did or didn't do is what happened, and unless it was somehow illegal, our focus should be on the world as it is. It's too close for impartial history to be written.

Blake,

Excellent point. I'll just reiterate that I'm interested in the subject only because I feel it has been the strategy of the Republican Party to divert blame for Iraq to President Clinton... and I mean Iraq, not al Qaeda and Bin Laden.

I didn't aim my comment at you, sorry if it sounded that way. I was meaning that the media needs to let it go, and that politicians need to move on. Certainly the discussion is wide open, I was just taking a swipe at those who you just mentioned.
